I Know How You Feel!
When I started this blog in April 2015 I had no traffic, zero authority and no followers.
For years, I too, struggled to attract lots of visitors to the websites I built and create a business which meant I could give up my 9 – 5 job.
I tried building websites in the health & fitness and voucher code niches and even with my vast experience of online marketing I just couldn’t break through.
My Goal Writing This Blog
Through my blog my aim is to transfer my online marketing experience and knowledge so that you can implement similar strategies and succeed.
I have decided to take action and teach people what I learn on my journey from zero to over 50,000 visitors per month.
Everything I publish is designed to help you grow your business by attracting more visitors and new customers.
About the author – My Journey
Tom Langdon – Marketing Strategist
My passion for online marketing started 5 years ago when I started working for an e-commerce website.
This was my first real job after spending a bit of time travelling the globe. The job was quite generic to start pitching in with a bit of everything but I worked my way up to becoming the marketing manager of the company.
This is where I was lucky enough to learn a lot about the world of online marketing but don’t get me wrong it wasn’t all plane sailing there was some ups and downs.
As I was carrying out a lot of the marketing activity alone my time was of the essence. This led to one of my biggest mistakes of enrolling the help of some agencies. They promised me the world and I convinced my bosses this was going to help me take the website to new levels so we entered a contract which can at a heavy cost.
They just did not understand our business and we ended up spending a lump of money paying an agency who promised great results but not getting anywhere near the levels of revenue we needed to cover the costs of employing them.
Whilst I admit yes they may know their stuff in a lot of cases there are so many out there now but if they are not involved on a day to day basis you might be more profitable running the marketing initiatives yourself.
So where next?
Well I have always looked up to my dad who has run his own business for decades now and I thought I want to be just like him running business one day doing something I love.
Because when you’re your own boss, you’re free and there is no limits to what you can pay yourself. 🙂
Just like me I am sure many of you reading this dream of the day you can work from wherever and whenever you want….
Here we are I have set up my own website which I run from my office at home providing my readers with marketing advice and strategies that actually work.
